Fox News announced on Wednesday that Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy will co-anchor a new weekend program every other Sunday.

The network will debut “The Sunday Briefing” on Sept. 21 which will be co-anchored by Doocy and Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, Fox News confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation. The two hosts will take turns anchoring the program as solo hosts weekly from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. eastern.

Doocy wrote on X that his new program will be “must-see TV.”

“White House briefings have become must-see TV over the last few years and now, so is The Sunday Briefing. See you a week from Sunday at 11am!” Doocy said.

“The Sunday Briefing” will “tackle all facets of the White House beat,” such as President Donald Trump’s “national and international moves,” the press release said.

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany will host her own two-hour program, “Saturday in America,” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT, and Griff Jenkins will join “Fox & Friends Weekend” as a new co-host, according to a press release obtained by the DCNF. Howie Kurtz will step down as host of “MediaBuzz” and become a political media analyst.

Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones will also be among the four co-hosts of “The Big Weekend Show” as it expands to three hours on Saturdays and Sundays, according to the press release.

FOX News Media President & Editor-in-Chief Jay Wallace said this new weekend shakeup will bring “unrivaled depth and expertise” to its audience.

“As we expand and innovate our weekend programing, we are proud to bring our audience unrivaled depth and expertise,” Wallace said. “This new dynamic roster underscores our continued commitment to delivering incomparable coverage, reinforcing FOX News Media as the leader in both news and opinion content. For more than a decade, Howie Kurtz has served as the lead authority for media coverage in cable news andwe look forward to continuing his smart analysis across our programming.”

Doocy rose to prominence as he asked tough questions to members of former President Joe Biden’s White House and got into heated spats with members of the administration.

A hot mic famously caught Biden calling Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” as the Fox News correspondent asked whether inflation would have an impact on upcoming elections. The then-president later called Doocy within the hour to “clear the air” and assure that his remark was “nothing personal.”
