Who is the 2026 recipient of the Environmental Hero Award for Earth Day?! The past year has seen one clear winner.
Al Gore? No. The Sierra Club? Nope. Tom Steyer? Not a chance.
The winner?! President Donald J. Trump!
Trump easily wins the Earth Day Hero Award! Congratulations, Mr. President. He wins for many reasons, including reversing the outsourcing of America’s energy needs to nations with poor environmental and human rights standards, and for his efforts to stop the slaughter of marine mammals, including whales, from offshore wind.
Looking at the Earth as a patient, holistically, it is obvious that the more the U.S. mines, drills, refines, and produces, the better off the collective health of our planet becomes.
Every unit of American energy produced replaces one imported from countries with primitive or nonexistent environmental regulations. High-quality, lower-impact U.S. energy, utilizing the best environmental practices and technology, is copiously flowing from within the U.S. and replacing
Earth-battering energy from abroad.
Trump, in just one year in office, has increased national security energy sources to levels not seen since…well, since… ever…by any nation…ever. A CNN analysis from March 4 explained, “The United States is producing more oil than any country in the history of the planet.”
The Department of Energy reported that the U.S. is energy dominant and leads the world in oil and natural gas production. “The U.S. is currently producing 24 million barrels per day in oil and liquid fuels production,” the Department reported. — more than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined.
In addition, Trump has taken over 300 actions to unleash America’s energy, resulting in America in 2026 “producing nearly as much natural gas as Russia, Iran, and China combined at 110 billion cubic feet per day.”
These energy facts heralded the end of the net-zero/Green New Deal craze that had previously choked off U.S. domestic energy sources.
Those who needlessly fear carbon dioxide for creating an alleged “climate crisis” also should be cheering Trump for lifting restrictions on U.S. fossil fuels. The climate-focused policies that Trump obliterated in the past year constrained energy development in Western developed democracies.
The climate activists should be embracing Trump as a planetary hero!
Trump is also without peer for his Earth-friendly marine mammal policies, due to his stalwart fight to protect whales and other marine mammals from offshore wind projects, and his dismantling and defunding of solar, wind, and EV subsidies and mandates.
“You know what I want to be? A whale psychiatrist,” Trump declared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” in 2024. Trump summed up windmills: “They’re killing the beauty of our scenery…You want to see a bird cemetery? Go under a windmill… It’s the most expensive form of energy. It’s no good. They’re made in China… they rust and rot,” adding, “the whole thing is a con job.”
Where are the Volvo-driving, 1970s save-the-whale liberals? Wind, solar power, and EVs are not Earth-friendly. They are all a recyclable mess that requires digging deep into the Earth to extract their contents. Who would have thought that the Audubon Society, Greenpeace, and the Sierra Club would be silent on whale and bird mortality due to wind power? But the Greens’ silence has been eclipsed by the Orange One, Donald Trump.
Trump is receiving the Earth Day Hero Award for reviving American rare-earth mining and processing, which had been offshored decades ago due to severe U.S. environmental regulations.
The U.S. is now taking the lead in extracting and processing rare earth minerals and will be relying less on nations with less Earth-friendly practices.
You could almost imagine what Mother Earth would say if she were accepting the award on behalf of Trump. Let’s channel Earth and find out what she thinks of the award…
“I hope all other Western nations follow President Trump’s energy policies. I would much rather have energy production in Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States than importing energy from countries that abuse Mother Nature. My vital signs are already improving. Even NASA says that carbon dioxide, the gas of life that humans exhale from their mouths, is greening my body.”
“My message is simple: Follow Trump’s lead and continue to extract fossil fuels from my bountiful reserves! Quite simply, if you poke holes in me, life-giving energy flows from me. Congratulations, President Trump, for winning the Earth Day Hero Award.” — Mother Earth.
So, there you have it. Donald Trump has made the Earth very happy, and the Earth is proud to present this award to the greatest environmental hero of our generation, President Donald J. Trump.
Happy Earth, happy life. Thank you, President Trump!
