Calling All Montana Law Students: Summer 2026 Clerkship Opportunity

Are you a Montana law student looking for hands-on experience with public interest litigation? Apply today for a Summer 2026 Clerkship in the Ronald Reagan Fellowship Program!

Thanks to our special partnership with the Goldwater Institute for the Big Sky Legal Project, we are thrilled to offer a spot for a Montana law student in Goldwater’s highly competitive Summer 2026 Clerkship program.

Law clerks in the program will have the opportunity to work on legal research, case analysis, court preparation, drafting, and litigation strategy for public interest cases in Montana and nationally.

Compensation:
Summer clerkships are full time, paid positions. Clerkships for academic credit are also available. Clerks are required to commit to the entire summer.

Location:
In-Person or Remote

Eligibility:
Applications are open to current university law school students who either (1) completed their K12 education while in Montana OR (2) are attending a Montana law school.

Requirements:
– Possess a deep understanding of classical liberal principles
– Have a strong work ethic
– Demonstrate a capacity for creative thinking
– Have exceptional legal research and writing skills
– Preference is given to applicants with a strong academic record who have completed at least 1 year of law school and have completed at least 1 course in constitutional law.
