Tomorrow could be the first day of the decline of New York City, and it will be at the hands of the voters of New York. New York City, and Minneapolis, too, are about to elect Socialist mayors. Both candidates are running under the party banner with a cryptic name, such as the Democratic Socialists of the Big Apple or the Minnesota Democratic Farmer-Labor Party in the Twin Cities. Make no mistake. These two candidates are communists and want to fundamentally change the culture of these two major American cities. These candidates ran on the word ‘Free’, which appealed to upper-class millennials who know they will be targeted with increased or new taxes to pay for these ‘Free’ programs. Neither Zorhan Mamdani nor Omar Fateh has ever held a private sector job, nor are they qualified for such difficult positions. Qualifications no longer matter in America when choosing the best candidate. It is their personality, their status on social media, their financial backing, and promises they have no intention of ever fulfilling. We are seeing the real Mamdani, as we see the supporters of Palestine and Gaza surround him at rallies. We hear the angry, hostile words of his acquaintance, who runs one of the biggest mosques in New York. We even hear his mother’s words, in which she tells us her son has no love for America. We see and hear these truths, yet the voters of NYC are either oblivious or ignorant. They are caught up in the free message from the communist who will turn New York City offensive and uninhabitable.
Barack Obama came out over the weekend to campaign for the two Democratic women running for Governor in New Jersey and Virginia. He is pulling for the two Communists running in New York and Minnesota, but he stopped short of endorsing the two self-proclaimed Socialists, which is puzzling. This Socialist, Marxist, or Communist movement is the culmination of his dream when he was elected to the White House in 2008. This was what he envisioned when the Squad was born out of his administration. Neither Obama nor Trump is on the ballot, but their visions are. Gen-Z is a confusing group to understand. On the one hand, they are showing tremendous support for Turning Point USA and a return to more conservative thinking. At the same time, they are showing a propensity to still look to the government to sustain them. Messaging and the media will play a huge part in these elections, and that does not fare well for the Right.
Turnout will also determine the outcome across the board. Off-year elections are even more challenging to motivate voters to turn out than midterms, but they are essential and pivotal. They will be bellwether elections for what we might expect in the 2026 mid-terms and for whether capitalism or socialism will be the direction of America’s future. The cities and states that are voting for their future cannot allow these radical candidates to be successful. Those of us just watching and hoping for positive results have been praying to have the favorable outcome we are all looking for. The outcome spans many important regions and should the Democratic Socail pages will be hot all day. But let it be known. NYC, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Virginia, know that Socialism does not work. The government best be ready as many of these self-proclaimed Left-wingers will be looking for free goods as their cars are loaded, and these folk are abandoning the ship.
