Commonwealth Foundation Ranks as One of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania

Harrisburg, Pa., December 16, 2025 — Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business have named Commonwealth Foundation as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania.

Commonwealth Foundation ranked in the top 25 of the 54 organizations nominated in the small employer category.

Best Places to Work in PA identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Pennsylvania in three categories: small employer (15-99 employees), medium employer (100-249) and large employer (250 or more). To be considered, companies must be a publicly or privately held business; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; have a facility in the state of Pennsylvania; have at least 15 full- or part-time employees working in Pennsylvania; and be in business a minimum of one year.

Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

Megan Martin, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of the Commonwealth Foundation, issued the following statement in response:

“Commonwealth Foundation is honored and humbled to be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. We are committed to living our values every day, guided by the belief that people matter—our employees, our partners and allies, and the good people of our great Commonwealth whose lives we work to improve. What makes earning this distinction so special is that it is based upon the voices and beliefs of our incredible team, who work tirelessly to better the lives of all Pennsylvanians.”

“An organization’s strength lies in its people and the systems that support them. At Commonwealth Foundation, we have prioritized building a durable internal infrastructure that fosters excellence, accountability, and belonging, and each initiative was designed to reinforce our values and create a workplace where staff feel both empowered and appreciated. These reforms were not cosmetic—they reshaped our employee experience and culture. Recognition as a Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania is a testament to the strength of our culture and the care we put into our operations.”

Our people are the engine of our mission, and the heart of our mission is transforming free-market ideas into public policies, empowering all Pennsylvanians to thrive. Each day, we work with our mission—and Pennsylvanians—in mind. There is still much work to be done to make Pennsylvania the leading state for prosperity and opportunity, but with a strong foundation in place, our team is energized and ready to keep advancing our mission and making that future a reality.”
